New York: Muslim Brotherhood School Is Named After Muslim-Conquered Spain

From Creeping Sharia:

NY: Muslim Brotherhood’s school named after Muslim-conquered Spain

Just like the Cordoba House mosque, the Andalusia School name refers to the Islamic conquest of Spain, as described on the school’s own website.

Equally concerning is that the Muslim Brotherhood-founded Muslim American Society (MAS) is running schools in the United States. via Westchester.com

Location: Andalusia School 380 Walnut Street Yonkers, NY 10701

The Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) and the Muslim American Society of Upper NY (MAS-UNY) plans to give out free school bags and school supplies to the South Yonkers community this coming Saturday, August 28th 2010 at the Andalusia School, during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Andalusia School was established in July 2004. It was formed by the volunteer efforts of some prominent leaders of the Muslim community in the Bronx/Westchester area of NY. It is affiliated with and shares the same educational philosophy of the Muslim American Society Council of Islamic Schools (MAS-CIS).

OUR MISSION:

Andalusia School’s mission is to nurture confident and committed Muslim youth who will draw upon the Qur’an and Sunnah to achieve moral, spiritual, and material excellence in all fields of endeavor.

OUR NAME:

The name “Andalusia” is chosen because Muslims in Andalusia (Now, Spain and Portugal) were able to produce a great civilization that the whole world experienced and benefited from. We envision nurturing Muslim youth that will contribute to humanity’s civilization in the twenty-first century as the youth of Andalusia did.

The school is run by MAS, a Muslim Brotherhood outlet in the U.S.:

“This evidence confirms … Matthew Levitt’s expert testimony that MAS is the representative of the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States, and is substantiated by a [2004] Chicago Tribune article that outlined the history of MAS.

“Ahmad Elkadi, who told the Chicago Tribune that he was the leader of the Brotherhood in the U.S. from 1984-1994, worked with Mohammed Mahdi Akef, head of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood since 2003, to advocate for the founding of MAS. According to the Tribune report, Akef and Elkadi pushed for more openness for the Muslim Brotherhood through MAS. Akef himself ‘says he helped found MAS by lobbying for the change during trips to the U.S.’

“In fact, MAS does not deny its Muslim Brotherhood foundations. In 2004, then-Secretary General of MAS Shaker Elsayed stated to the Tribune that ‘Ikhwan [Brotherhood] members founded MAS…’ Elsayed even went so far as to admit that about 45 percent of MAS’s active members belong to the Brotherhood. Federal officials have confirmed this, noting continued ties between MAS and the Muslim Brotherhood.”

ICNA is a terror-linked organization as well, as detailed in Muslim Organization ICNA Linked to Anti-American Terror Movement, and in many posts here.

As the number of Islamic schools grow in the U.S., teaching the tenets of the Qur’an and sharia law, what will the future of the U.S. hold?
