Free Speech Ended In Germany; OIC Wants Free Speech Ended Globally

From Winds of Jihad:

Germany: More Hate Speech Laws

Yesterday things were looking good:

Germany Applies Anti-Nazi Laws on Two Non-Violent Pro-Sharia Islamic Groups!

Today parliament pushed through some new “hate-speech” laws, which will make it a lot harder to fight the jihad.

Germany Applies Anti-Nazi Laws on Two Non-Violent Pro-Sharia Islamic Groups!

Well, it’s about time that a non-Muslim country gets it right. I tip my hat to Germany for overcoming the politically correct disease, and doing what is necessary to protect Western Civilization. Back in October Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel, stated that Muslims cannot live by Sharia in Germany. At the time I remember several people on numerous sites, saying it was just talk. Considering the fact that the West has more than its share of weak leaders, I didn’t blame them for thinking that. But thankfully, she has proven them wrong.

German authorities hardened a crackdown on Islamic groups yesterday, raiding homes and schools that reportedly belong to adherents of fundamentalist Salafi Islam.

German officials said the preemptive raids, conducted under German anti-Nazi laws of association, were aimed at uncovering unconstitutional or separatist acts and not part of an international terror hunt.

The raids targeted the Islamic Cultural Center of Bremen, on the North Sea, along with a group calling itself Invitation to Paradise in two small northwest German cities. Invitation to Paradise’s leader has called for sharia, or Islamic law, to prevail one day but has specifically opposed using violence to impose it.

The beauty of this is that Germany saw the internal threat of Sharia loving Muslims, who are attempting to takeover within the law.

While some experts say police overreacted in conducting the raids, German officials have come under great pressure from local media and citizen groups to respond to some Muslim organizations that appear to resist joining mainstream German society.

“These groups are a problem for integration, even maybe for radicalization, though not necessarily for violent jihad. They are very orthodox and like to be separate but are not preaching but usually condemning violence,” says Alexander Ritzmann, a former Berlin member of parliament now with the European Foundation for Democracy in Brussels. “The problem is that some jihadis in Germany from before identified themselves as Salafi.”

Germany has been on high alert for possible terror attacks since mid-November. The Reichstag parliament building was partially closed to tourists for two weeks following a phone call from a disaffected South Asian jihadist who warned that Islamic militant groups were planning to attack high-profile targets in the nation.

Authorities said yesterday’s raids were unrelated to the phone warning.

The German Interior Ministry said it was investigating efforts by radicals to overthrow the government on theological Islamic grounds. In a statement issued Tuesday, the ministry said that, “For a well-fortified democracy, it is necessary and demanded, without waiting for the jihad to occur in the form of armed struggle, to take action against anti-constitutional organizations.”

A leader of Invitation to Paradise, Pierre Vogel, has been a lightening rod in Germany for some time now. He’s a German convert to Islam who appears on numerous TV shows to defend the concept of sharia.

In the past I have said that Muslims who use the freedoms of the West to advance their Sharia agenda, are even more dangerous than potentially violent Muslims. That pro-Sharia are Muslims to be looked upon as enemies of the state, just as Nazis were. Now that Germany has opened the door to preserving Western Civilization, lets see who will follow. I have a feeling this is just the beginning….

Mr. Ritzmann, the former German parliamentarian, argues that the zeal of the German police should be more in line with the goals of German intelligence, which may be uneasy with high-profile raids that are designed to placate political pressure.

“The police may make some of the popular leaders into martyrs if the state is now going after them," he says. "It means inside the mosque that everything the Islamic leaders say to them about not being accepted in German society appears to be true.”

After a car bomb in Stockholm carried out by a disaffected Islamist from Iraq named Taimour Abdulwahab al-Abdaly, several German politicians called for tighter visa restrictions. After yesterday’s raids, other officials called for a quick and total ban on radical Islamic groups. German police say the raids were unrelated to the Stockholm incident.

The First Amendment to the United States Constitution states, in part, “Congress shall make no law . . . abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press”. (Source)

Germany never had a First Amendment.

It looks like it shall never have one. Because the Fatherlands Red-Green social engineers are using the time before Christmas to ram some more “hate-speech” laws through parliament. The new laws aim at criminalizing speech on the internet that could be interpreted as “racist” or “xenophobic”. “Incitement” is another loaded gun in this context. Enforcement of these new laws could cause a wave of criminal procedures and create a climate of denunciation and intimidation. (PI has more)

Still and quiet, as befits the season of Advent, was on 16 Volksverhetzungsparagraph December, the 130 penal code by a vote of the governing coalition and the Greens were revised. The changes aim to "racist and xenophobic acts," especially on the Internet to criminalize. You could trigger a wave of criminal procedure and create a climate of intimidation and of informing.

What has changed? In essence, the point is that you can now also commit sedition by insulting an individual, maliciously maligning, or slander, thus attacking their human dignity, or by one against an individual incitement to hatred or violence or arbitrary measures against him. This always presupposes that it is referred to national, racial, religious or ethnic origin of the person.

The old version in part:

(1) Any person in a manner that is likely to disturb the public peace,

1. to incite hatred against segments of the population or for violent or arbitrary measures against them or

2. the human dignity of others by attacking, that he insulted the population, maliciously maligning, or slander

shall be punished with imprisonment from three months to five years.

The new version in part:

(1) Any person in a manner that is likely to disturb the public peace,

1. calls for a national, racial, religious or ethnic origin by their particular group, against parts of the population or against an individual for belonging to a group aforesaid or any part of the population to incite hatred, violence or arbitrary measures or

2. the human dignity of others by attacking, that he insulted a group The aforementioned sections of the population or an individual for belonging to a group aforesaid or any part of the population, maliciously maligning, or slander

shall be punished with imprisonment from three months to five years.

This was in response to the requirements of a Framework Decision of Europe from 2008, which on an additional protocol of 2003 goes back on his part. This in turn was a supplement to the "Council of Europe Convention of 23 November 2001 on cybercrime, concerning the criminalization of acts committed through computer systems of racist and xenophobic nature ".

In the former version of § 130 StGB, the baiting had to "parts of the population" (by which is meant considerable parts are.) Another provision was, and remains, the introductory sentence: "Who, in a manner that is likely to disturb the public peace ..." Whether one can disturb the public peace at all, if you rushes against an individual? Even in the old version you could ask why a statement, and no matter how inflammatory and directed against a particular group, should disturb the public peace. Overweight is a statement only after all of those who hear, and those are people with their own reasoning.

The criminal penalties also publicizing and disseminating seditious writings - including "audio and video recordings, data storage, pictures and other representations of" count - has been adapted and is now also in incitement against individuals. Under "Images" for example, dropping the Mohammed cartoons.

The basis for Volksverhetzungstatbestände was thus widened enormously. What was previously covered by the crime of insult or a threat, could continue to be hate speech. What all this aims, one can imagine. Whether it is thought through in the final analysis, may be doubted. The Pope is at least as fast offend a more green, without criminal charges that it hails, and the "German bitch" should be quiet now sometimes swing Volksverhetzungskeule. Police, prosecutors and courts will get a lot of work, as spies and informers, we have plenty in the country. But the most surprising is the thundering silence of the media to this law, which will affect the freedom of expression strongly, because now everyone can have up every day. As before.

Dirty Tricks:

Our old ‘friends’ from the OIC are at it again:

OIC SETS ITS SIGHTS ON ICANN TO STIFLE CRITICISM OF ISLAM ON THE INTERNET

Tundra Tabloids via Vlad Tepes

They’re at it again.

This simply can’t be allowed to happen. This Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) cannot be allowed to exert its influence or control of ICANN. Every freedom loving patriot no matter what country you hail from or political persuasion you belong to, should be worried over this development. The OIC has already been highly successful in subverting the UN General Assembly, and is vigorously pursuing an agenda to get criticism of Islam criminalized the world over, now its got its sights on this innocuous sounding organization that’s soon to become under the auspices of international, multilateral control.

Here is what the law fare project has to say about it:

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is the entity responsible for assigning domain names on the Internet, and was established as a non-profit corporation based in California during the Clinton administration so that the Internet’s development would be coordinated by a single entity.

ICANN works “in particular to ensure the stable and secure operation of the Internet’s unique identifier systems.”[1] As part of this mission, ICANN approves Domain Name Registrars, which are organizations that register specific domain names, and assigns IP addresses, the numerical codes by which computers actually connect to each other via the Internet.

From November 25, 1998 until September 30, 2009, ICANN was overseen by the U.S. Commerce Department. The Memorandum of Understanding between the Department of Commerce and ICANN was allowed to expire, to be replaced by international, multilateral control.

The Lawfare Project report goes on further to note that the OIC’s Secretary-General, Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu is aggressively working to ensure that this entity will work closely with the OIC’s Islamophobia Observatory, in order to combat anti-Islamic content on the net.

11) NOTE: in November, ICANN’s Nominating Committee selected its first-ever Middle Eastern Director, Cherine Chalaby. Chalaby holds dual citizenship to his native Egypt and the United Kingdom.[6]

12) Should the League of Arab States gain bloc voting power at ICANN, there is every indication that it will seek to replicate its effective takeover of the United Nations General Assembly, likely in conjunction with the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC).

13) The OIC is extremely interested in developing internet capability, and recently formed a Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) with the following mission statement: “OIC-CERT is to provide a platform for member countries to explore and to develop collaborative initiatives and possible partnerships in matters pertaining to cyber security that shall strengthen their self reliant [sic] in the cyberspace.”[7]

14) OIC-CERT’s Steering Committee consists of the following countries: Tunisia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Nigeria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.[8]

15) On October 28, 2010, at OIC-CERT’s Second Annual General Meeting, OIC Secretary-General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu noted the following as a core mission of OIC-CERT: “In view of the phenomena of discrimination, stereotyping and defamation targeting Muslims and their religion known as ‘Islamophobia,’ we invite the OIC-CERT to use its available professional and technical resources (in line with its objectives stated in terms of reference) in order to cooperate with the ‘OIC Islamophobia Observatory’ to identify the best ways and means including technical, administrative and legal tools to combat anti-Islamic contents on the internet.“[9] This issue bears more directly on the ongoing debate regarding ‘public morality’ objections and will be considered more fully in Point 2 below.

On thing has to be said about the OIC, they are relentless, and they have to be stopped. The very issue of free speech is at stake here, which means the freedom to criticize religion and any ideology, that includes Islam. The gauntlet has been thrown. KGS
