CAIR awards former managing editor of mag that praised bin Laden as “great Mujahid”

Edina Lekovic, the current Director of Policy and Programming at the Muslim Public Affairs Council, will be honored with the CAIR-Chicago Trailblazer award for her courageous work as as a national spokesperson for Muslim-Americans.
Lekovic was blazing trails back before most American’s had even heard of Osama bin Laden. In fact, CAIR’s 2012 award recipient was managing editor of Al-Talib, The Muslim News magazine at UCLA, which published this in the July 1999 “The Spirit of Jihad” issue, via MPAC, CAIR, and Praising Osama bin Laden:
